this is one of my deeper battles that i've been struggling with for almost a year now..
i've wanted to be famous, my whole life really. it never became tangible however, until i began writing and taking/editing pictures. i would really like to become famous for one of these hobbies, but my demon comes in the form of self-conciousness and lack of.. confidence. see, i know that i am decent at writing and that i'm pretty good at editing pictures, but i'm not sure if they're anything that would or could be filed under famous works. i'm afraid that what i really strive after, what i long to do, what my passions are, are not good enough to make it in the world, and that i will be crushed when i step onto the sidewalk of life. i've been battling this on and off for the last year, and it's been a battle of grins, and a battle of endless tears, sweat, and blood, making that specific cliché a large part of my life, spent in my basement crying, cutting, creating. i feel that this picture defines the creative part of my life in a very real way. a boy in his basement in his most casual, more worn clothing, pyjama pants and no shirt. he writes on himself, sometimes with ink, sometimes with knives, but always to get a point across. he hides his face because he is afraid to reveal himself to the world, afraid to be rejected. he hides his face to hide the agony and tears that strike him deep in his heart. he hides. <3. |

i see that life after high school does not treat you well. If u are after my opinion on your predicament here follows, first you must go to post-sec education and get a degree/certificate/diploma in BA in either graphic design or as myself get it in english. Dont let your mind waver as post sec can be very hard to get used to. Perhaps taking a year off to work and get a new perspective on things will help u in your new life. Now after u receive your education you must ask the academic advisors at post sec, "'what do i do with all my training now?'". They will then instruct u towards your next path. Dont be afraid of taking other people's advice or have any fear of rejection; u do live in Canada now and we are famous for our openmindedness. if u let your fears guide u, u will never achieve or succeed at anything. I want to see u succeed jason, i really do. And always remember God loves you with an everlasting love, he really does. He will not let u fail, even if u have doubts about yourself. Always remember Phillipians 4:13, this verse will get u through anything. Love surrounds you at every angle and even when we went to school together, even though i didnt show it, I loved u. So as Ms. Frizzle of the Magic School Bus always said, "'take a chance'". See you later in your prosperous future.
